American voters need a backup plan

America's voting system has two fundamental flaws - no backups and no transparency. It's time for us to fix that. It's time for us to take control of our most important institution - the right to vote.

TheVoteToday.org is working to secure our elections. Our primary goal is to provide a place for Americans to create a backup of their vote. Your pictures of voting screens or official receipts provide the data to validate the government's tabulations.

By participating, you can feel more confident in American elections. And TheVoteToday.org offers this service at a cost of only $1 per month.

TheVoteToday.org will also share important voting information - such as locations, dates and requirements to vote. Our plan has a clear focus: Make it simple for every American to cast their vote and ensure that it is accurately counted.

If you decide to sign up for our Access Plan, we also will stream voting tallies to your browser on election day. As participants update their voting results in real time, we will display maps with voting totals to our Access Plan members that update every few minutes.

Just sign up using the button below. After that, we send out about one email per month informing you about your local voting process, site updates, and important voting dates. Lastly, we ask you to confirm your voting choices for candidates on election day. That's it!

Which political parties do you support?
While individuals have political affiliations this project is non-partisan. Providing accurate voting information to all Americans is our goal.

Why do you charge for this service?
Any project this large is going to have significant costs. We charge to cover our server costs, advertising costs and legal costs.

Which elections are covered by this service?
Currently, we cover national elections for President of the United States and members of the United States Congress.

Is this process really that easy?
Yes! We want to keep this process as fast and simple as possible to ensure accuracy and high participation. If you are an early voter, you can even confirm your voting choices before election day.
